While creating this series I had a dream that I was escaping someone and a crowd of people that were sitting in an auditorium knew how to help me get away. They showed me a secret passage way underneath that spiraled downwards. This reminded me of the segment in Kidd’s book where she says, “Just let a woman start through the spirals of the labyrinth with a design of ridding herself of the Minotaur, and the self-hating voices will become a cacophony. Threatened, they rise up even stronger in the hope of holding on. They may appear with more frequency or intensity in her dreams, and their voices may harangue her in her conscious thought.”
