Matryoshka means ‘mother’ in Russian. I have one of these dolls that a previous student from Russia gave to me as a thank you when she was done with my class. I treasure this gift from one “beginner’s mind” to another. To me it represents the potential of the many facets of ourselves to uncover, always more to reveal and uncover.
